Great alternative to Wetherspoons.

A nice large Brains Pub which has a good selection of ales.. I had a pint of Rev James which was in good form and it had sports on TV which is a bonus...
would recommend a quick pint here...

All the atmosphere of your local Argos showroom....AVOID

Nice pub, big windows, food's good and the staff are always chilled. Fair play for going no-smoking early as well

This place has had more guises than Geri Halliwell. Nice pub, formerly the home of 99p triple vodkas that lead to many a night of rack and ruin.

Difficult to find MILD in Aberystwyth but here we have Brains Smooth Dark MILD for 1.70 a pint, not bad at all. The place re-opened after modernisation in February and now has a modern clean looking interior. The big windows are ideal for street watching while supping your beer. Theres a concreted over beer garden out the back. On my visit new wave chill out music was being played.

Another Aber refit pub, this time from a small pokey little dive that only had customers due to its lethal 99p triple vodkas, to a big (expanded to the old sweet shop on the corner) comfy and modern bar.
It's been very nicely done, and I was pleasntly surprised to find two of the Brains range of Real Ales (Gold and SA), although they had a slightly metallic taste to them, a problem which seems to affect a lot of pubs in west Wales for some reason!
Overall, a good recommendation, especially if the ale is sorted out in the next few months. This place would make a nice Cask Marque pub.
