A first-class pub, mainly for locals, but outsiders are accepted too. As a free house it has a good range of brews. The food looked good. 8/10

Great pub came out for my birthday in august and the food was the best i had eaten in a long while so i told the family and we came out again and still the same good food and the staff were great and friendly will go again thumbs up for looking after our country pubs

A comfortable and well run pub right on the edge of the village. Both beer and food were excellent and the place itself absolutely spotless. The complete antithesis of the pubco run couldn't-care-less, anything-will-do pubs which pepper our high streets.

Visited Sunday lunchtime and it was packed so th efood is probably good - we didn't try it but the beer is excellent and the place has character. Well worth a visit.

Great food and well kept ales and ciders. Lovely big garden with giant connect four. Landlord is a bit of a misery though - was grumpy several times that I have been there

EXCELLANT FOOD, BEER, AND ACCOMADATION

decent ales, well kept by knowledgable landlord... chatty environ, but not much bar space when locals are in situ... food was dreadful when I last ate there...

The pub now does food on Sunday evenings ie 7days/nights of the week.

Nice country pub with good beer and friendly atmosphere. Visited on Sunday evening and was dissapointed that there was no food but I should have read the previous post more carefully which says so. We will visit again without doubt. Shame about no dining on Sunday evenings but otherwise very highly recommended.

This lovely secluded village pub offers 2 Regular real ales - Butcombe, Ringwood Best, plus 2 guests. Pub has recently been extended to rear providing more tables/seating for customer use. Note this is not necessarily 'Restaurant'. Very tastefully done to a high standard and in keeping with the old pub interior. The cozy atmosphere of the bar has been carefully maintained. 4 superb B&B rooms in a similar vein. Good food. Open all day Sundays, no food Sunday eve. New rear patio and extended parking has not affected the charm of the beer garden. Peter & Helen have done a superb job and I am proud to be a regular at their splendid pub.

A beautiful country pub in rural Dorset. Offering 4 draft real ales and EXCELLENT food. Log fires in the winter and a large beer garden with games in the summer.
