Felt a bit like a local's local, but worth stepping over the threshold for a chance to sup the Platform 5 ales - which are exceptionally suppable!

I agree with the previous two post. Had a pint of Fosters which was average but i just could'nt settle in here just not my sort of place really.

Wide screen plasma sports, Directors and lager....No thanks, moved on.

popped in while wife was spending my beer money in the shops. Pint of courages was not good at all. Vinegar anyone! so I got a lager (fosters) instead and it was terrible. To top it off, the wife bought some fish from the fishmongers up the road and the bag split. I needed a DECENT beer more than ever now. NOT in this pub though.

I absolutely love this pub. The owner, staff and regulars are all very friendly. The beer is well looked after and the day time served food is reasonably priced and great. There is a no nonsense, friendly, welcoming atmosphere, whatever the occasion. Live football on the big HD screen (amongst others), Pop quiz, fun quiz, general knowledge quiz and live music are all hosted through out the week. I honestly am just a punter that turned up for the music quiz one week and was taken a back by the banter and warm welcome. Now I consider myself part of the furniture. Come and join us...you'll never go anywhere else. Cheers! Quite literally, this is.

Only been in a couple of times, in the day, but seemed nice. Good beer, clean and had loads of character.

Irish style, but modern. Pool, plasma tv. Ideal for the youngsters. 2 casks on offer. Bombardier.

An excellent pub that caters for everyone, from food at dinner times to quizzes, live music and sport at night times, the landlord is a big football and cricket fan which helps.
