I disagree with crazy horse, I have always found locals to be very friendly, and in my opinion there is less trouble here than in a lot of other Hemel pubs. The food is good, they have good Djs. The only downside is that the toilets are in a bad state.

Don't like this pub, full of idiot locals who think they own the place. Also saw a couple of fights outside recently. Won't be going back in a hurry.

After getting fed up with the increasingly rowdy full house, I decided to give the Society a try. The last review was 100% right, nice atmosphere, nice staff and gret food. It was a thursday night and we had a huge plate of ribs and wings-�6 with a drink! a few games a pool and a thoroughly good evening. We will deffo be back!

Used to be a bit of a dive, however I was pleasently surprised to see that things are much improved here. It is under new management, and it seems that it is finaly being run properly. Good food, friendly staff and no chavs or trouble makers. Had a chat to the manager, who is a really friendly and helpful guy and he promised many more positive changes in the months to come. Overall I had a great time in my visit to the society and would recomend it. It is a rarity these days to have a drink in Hemel and feel safe and relaxed.

Hi, Before yesterday, I was last in this pub about 6 months ago, and quite frankly it was a dive! I ended up there yesterday, with a group of friends and I have to say, WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! The place, was clean,the staff were friendly, and the place was busy, without being full of chavs and louts. There is a new landlord here now and he seems to have really turned the place round, he has definitely got rid of the riff raff, (I have to say, I wouldn't argue with him if he asked me to leave. He is a man mountain!!!) and he was very chatty and friendly and keen to hear peoples opinions and feedback on the place. We had a great night and will be back tomorrow to see the new DJ's, who I have been told are brilliant. This will definitely become my new haunt, whenever I am in Hemel.
