Half pub, half Thai restaurant.
Superb Boondoggle in excellent condition.
Nice beer garden to watch to hikers heading up to the hills.

Ringwood's Best and Boondoggle available today - the clip for the Jennings Red Rascal was turned around. Again the beer was in pretty decent condition.

I would echo what Downsview said nearly 2 yrs ago, especially about the clientele. Beer choice hasn't changed since then, Burton Bitter was in good order. Lots of Thai food on the menu (not surprising as Thai Connection restaurant next door) as well as usual pub grub.

fairly pleasant pub with friendly staff and boondoggle on - recommended

Picture is of the Red Lion in Great Malvern but the description is of somewhere else as we in all in a party of this last weekend found this to be a good little boozer. Decent food and good beer - as it should be at a Marstons pub though no pPedi which was disappointing. Ringwood - Boondoogle was fine as was the Burton bitter. Did speak briefly to the manager but must be different from the indidual that others here describe. Young bar staff were pleasant if not the quickest and compared to the Unicorn the evening clientele were far nicer to sghare the premises with!

Crap beer, crap prices. Well worth avoiding.

agree with previous comments the food isn't up to much and the rude and foul language of the landlord put us off ever going again, generally - poor food, bad service and long waits don't add up to an enjoyable evening, maybe he should think about how his attitude refelcts on his business or maybe he doesnt care about it?

Nice pub in good location, however spolit by the managers rude attitude towards customers (in particular out of town) and staff We shall not return

Not the pub it used to be, sour staff, slow food, poor beer. students infest it at the weekend. Better beer and staff at the local supermarket

Used to be THE pub to head to before a gig at the Winter Gardens. Now very much a shadow of its former self.

Yeah - if they ever serve you. I once booked a table for four for 8pm, ordered almost immediately upon arrival then waited over AN HOUR AND A HALF for food. By the time it finally arrived we were all so drunk and hungry we would have eaten almost anything. The waitress even had the effrontery to ask, after an hour, in that charming, "couldn't care less" way, whether we were ok. She then got annoyed when I replied "it would be better with food". Nice pub, don't get me wrong but it's best to eat before you go there for a meal.
