Very nice country pub, beautiful building. Well kept ales and very friendly staff. Food was nice if a little pricey. Unique "dining pods" are also being developed. Traditional pub with modern touches. Spot on.

This pub has now been completely refurbished and looks great. We went for lunch on a friends recommendation. On arrival we were welcomed by the very friendly staff and left to sit and enjoy a couple of drinks in the bar area and not rushed to our seat for food. The food was fantastic, chicken liver parfait to start and a wonderful Pidgeon breast salad with black pudding and beetroot for main - both cooked to perfection. We later learned the chef (Tim Futter) was of The Black Boy / Chesil Rectory fame in Winchester - this was our favourite place to eat until he moved on. Glad we have found him again and a table for dinner is now booked - we can't wait!. Excellent beer too.

The Kings Arms has now been taken over and refurbished. It has a very warm feel, all the staff are pleasant. We are serving a classic British menu accompanied by some highly praised beer and also a very impressive wine list.

Pub has changed hands. Visited one night and it was like the wild west. Best avoided.
