Found myself on the mailing list for the new owners opening night so popped along. An almost unbelievable transformation - it looks like a proper pub again instead of a bit of a wine bar, décor great, warm and welcoming, new managers friendly, food brilliant quality (they laid on a buffet of food that will be on the full menu in future), and last but not least superbly kept Harveys and Tribute. Keep this up and they'll romp it!!

Haven't been on here for several years but popped in with some mates, we discovered it's between landlords, but the holding manager couldn't have been nicer or friendlier and must say he was keeping a splendid pint of harveys., Looking forward to the new people who I understand are well known in the area and will do a good job.

This place is clearly setting itself out to be a community pub and I wish them every success. However, there was only one real ale available (Harveys) for which they are charging 3.70 a pint (and 1.80 for a half) which is very steep even for this area.
There is an extensive printed menu but many items were crossed out so the final choice is relatively limited. Food service was pretty slow for a not particularly busy lunchtime.
I won't be hurrying back and casual visitors would be better off visiting the Crown on the other side of the village.

This place has a good, friendly atmosphere. They appear to be a community pub and appear to have succeeded. They only had two real ales on. The food is simple, well prepared and good - and plenty of it. As I said, it has a good feel. After we left we bumped into a local family and were talking about this pub. It was clear they liked it. I am happy to recommend it. Its a good local.

Really warmed to this place. Own newsletter/events. Range of games/entertainment. The Crown is arguably the better pub but this place shouldn't be overlooked if in the area.

Visited here on a trip on the Spa Valley railway. Nice enough pub just a few mins walk from the nearby steam railway station. Didn't have any food so can't comment on that, beer (the local Groombridge "Black Cat" brewery) was perfectly ok but price wasn't - 3.60 pint for something brewed a few hundred yards away ! Would probably have had another pint if not for the price. Could do with more beer choice too.

Had lunch at The Junction Inn today. Truly awful. Took about 45 minutes to arrive even though there were only a few tables eating. Jacket potato cooked in microwave and was hard and cold inside but this was nothing compared to the fact the potato looked green ! My partner's veggie burger was okay but the bun was awful, stale and dry. When I complained the chef sent the timid waitress out to say sorry. This I felt was his job. I have entered my comments on my Facebook page and it will reach a few hundred Tunbridge Wells and local area residents. I will certainly not eat there again and would not recommend it.

Only Harveys Bitter on handpump, but it tasted fine. The emphasis seems to be on food, nothing wrong with that but I feel the pub could do with a few more comforts for drinkers.

I live in Groombridge and have done for some time. The Junction has seen various owners and has gone up and down in quality. For that reason I have only been in the pub on very rare occasions over the last 3 years as it was truly awful. Thankfully it has now been taken over by an obviously very experienced couple. The atmosphere is competely different and although it will take time to become somewhere we use on a regular basis I have no hesitation in recommending people to give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised. Hopefully it is going to become a proper pub again with good beer and pub food. I hope the family settle in to village life for a long time. Good luck.

Well worth a re-visit I have been here before under the previous 2 regimes- has Spitfire,Harveys and Bombardier + Srongbow , Magners and Bulmers. Food good value Doorstep sandwiches Ploughmans Fish Pie Steak Pie and the Junction burger is a must have. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Can't help but think 'Familyman23' might be the infamous manager that so damaged this pub before I bought it! There were two of the bubbliest girls in the world behind the bar on Saturday 1 May, so he'd have had to really insult them to get the service he implies! Funny how he gives a raving and over detailed review of the pub the manager was moved to just a couple of days later... We have had an amazing welcome from the regular old and new and reckon if you were to pop in you'd receive the same treatment. Our ales have already been shortlisted for an award and the food, if I may say so, is very palate pleasing!

can only assume the bold statement recently left is from staff, visted this pub for lunch with family and friends, greeted by a ghastley lady who has apparently been there for years no smile, no service, no chat, arms folded moody mare!!! pub looks quite nice and in nice area but watcd out for the witch of eastwick

Friendly pub very child friendly garden. It's just opposite the Spa Valley Steam railway. The new Chef Chris is a great cook, we found the food very moreish. Landlady's not bad either.

We returned for Father's Day, where the offer of "Accompanied Dad's, main meal Free" was very appealing! The offer was a horrendous act of False Advertising. - You had to buy 3 main meals to receive the fouth free (These could not include children's meals) and although our party included four adults, because two had already ordered and paid for their meals, we (Ordering less than a minute later) could not claim for our meal, as we had ordered afterwards!
There were several other families also complaining about this complete joke of an offer, which ruined our whole experience at The Junction.
The meals themselves (Standard Beef roast) were average, beef good quality, but barely warm, same as the vegetables.
The garden is lovely for the children, but unfortunately a god beer garden hardly compensates for the poor food offer and average food and service.

BEST PUB EVER. Lovely bar staff the girl (manager)always comes and has a chat to us. Brilliant at weekends with d.j's and bands, it gets busy and there's really nice people down there. A definite must see honestly. If you are planning a trip down there try it a weekend for the music.
Keep up the good work guys your fab xx

What a great find. A pub that serves excellent food with a welcoming astmosphere and friendly people. I am reluctant to write this - want to keep this to ourselves!! It is so rare, in this area, to find somewhere half so good. Just had a lovely evening there. The menu has something for eveyone, the food is really well cooked and served. The serivce was attentive. A really enjoyable experience and thanks to the staff for making us feel there is somewhere decent to eat out in Crowborough area after all.
