Perhaps ownership has changed since latest comments. Service was pleasant and friendly; there were locals at the bar, and a choice of beer, albeit predictable. My pint of London Pride was served at the proper temperature, and tasted fine.

went there first in June 2009. Beer was boring, food was average, service was poor. Could have left without paying and nobody would have been the wiser. Went for another beer in November. No change, just a little ruder.

Yes it is a restaurant. The beer was served at lager temperature. Ringwood tastes awful that cold.

visited in the summer, not too bad but the service was very offhand and food ok but not outstanding. visited again, invited, in autumn and found menu exactly the same, not much choice, service the same, no real welcome or friendliness, and do they ever clean their beer trays they are filthy. not going again. the food again was ok but nothing special.

We took the family for a big birthday celebration and were not disapointed.

I agree its a restaurant not a pub. one of the few that pulls it off. The road is a shame but well worth the visit. Not cheap.

A country resturant, rather than pub now. Food is excellent but not alot of room if you just want to sit and have a quiet Pint.

Set back from the noisy main road which is a relief. Ales are well kept and food is pretty good. Nice to sit outisde when weather allows.
