The Halsey Arms appears to have closed down. The pub is advertised on websites as opening at 11:30 on a weekday. But I waited until after midday and there was no sign of life. Another tell tale sign is the lack of any telephone line any more and I later found an article on the internet looking for people to run the pub.

This pub is absolutely amazing, friendly staff, brilliant food which is served hot, fresh and quick. There is a number of different events that Mrs Holly Royle puts on for the locals and regular customers from around different areas every week.

This used to be a really good pub with good food. Hardly anybody goes in there now, two people on a Friday night! Karaoke, boring, boring!! No decent food, Sunday carvery well overpriced. More atmosphere in a morgue. Go down the Green Man, packed every night!
