A good pub for bar billiards with two league teams though Terry will argue to the contrary.

This is a sdecent local pub. Had Shapes Doombar on - straight from the cask and it was lovely. A good local pub.

Pleasant country pub just outside Horsham. There are 2 bars. One is a small public bar/games room featuring a pool table and TVs showing sport. The other is a larger lounge with a log fire where food is also served. Beers available were Harveys Best, Wychwood Hobgoblin and Sharps Doom Bar. A number of bottled ciders were featured and were on offer at 3 a bottle. But the most adventurous of these was Thatcher's Katy. The coloured panes of glass on the pub's frontage are quite impressive. The lounge also features an over-sized chess board on a table and a tankard collection on the ceiling. This could be a very good pub, if the drinks selection was a little more adventurous.

Landlord was wondering why this pub isnt in the good beer guide anymore, maybe if you drop the price of a pint and have more than 2 real ales available (Hobgoblin and Harverys) then you might just get picked again, other than that a very average pub.

Quirky sort of pub with a name to match. Currently undergoing some refurbishment which looks to be nearinig completion.

Starting to play host to some live music (namely acoustic open mic type stuff) which is good news for the local music scene.

Limited choice of ales when I visited (London Pride and Sir Timothy Taylor) although they were served straight from the barrel and were very well kept - the pint of 4 of Sir Tim I had were perfect.

Visited again a couple of weeks later, this time on a Saturday lunchtime while I waited for my car to be serviced at the garage over the road. Surprisingly quiet in there - not a good sign, especially considering it was a beautiful spring day. Maybe everyone was on there way while I was there? Anyway, I had a nice lunch and another pint of their fine ale - food was basic pub grub, although there looked to be some more adventurous choices on the menu.

Still - all the ingredients of a fine establishment here and I wish them well for the summer trade!
