I had heard good things about this place – but what a disappointment. On a Saturday afternoon it was populated by 3 miserable old blokes, disinterestedly watching some obscure cycling on the TV. There were 5 real ales on, but none of them could remotely be described as exciting. I had the Three Tuns Bitter, which was OK – once it had settled down. Still it was cheap as they had a special offer on off £2.60 for all draught beers.

This pub NEVER charges for tasters, unless you choose to have 3 times third pints and therefore are charged for 1 pint ( and actually they are big thirds!) Maybe you were confusing the offer on a NEW beer at a reduced price on a one/two day offer,
Yes they give a discount to the Pubs football players - tough shit! sign up and play if you want it!
This pub sells GOOD BEER ( as the official beer guide states) and the veiws of some disgruntled wanker do not count.
If you are confused about the comments - try the place for yourself and make you OWN mind up about it!

Started charging for a "taster" of the real ale and giving discounts to the football team and their WAGS.

still the best pub in Sandbach- only place to get proper beer kept well. Had some cracking VERY late nights in here when I still lived in Cheshire, wish I could get down more often.
Think the big tellys put off some potential punters though...

Ignoring all the personal rubbish written by some vindictive person, it should be noted that this pub has 3 full HD tv's inside for the World Cup plus a TV outside for those out there. It also is 3D ready for when that service arrives with a 47" screen.
To add, more importantly, the beer is on top form, Stowford cider is popular. There has been investment in coolers and equipment and the staff have made great efforts to enhance the outside with flowers - they obviously care!

She is talking absolute rubbish - no such comment has been made to or by anyone especially the Scottish girl!
She is just obviously some person with a massive chip on her shoulder trying to cause as much trouble as possible for the new people. I urge everyone to ignore her!
I have noticed no change at all and the beer is as good as ever!

Good pub, well kept beer, friendly staff and everyone chats to each other. Prices reasonable rather than cheap. What more do you want?
Started going in because I could not be bothered with the hassle around town, which tends not to happen here.

Only been in a couple of times and cannot find fault, except maybe the toilets could do with a clean now and again. Good beer and friendly people!
Did have a late one about a year back and got on the Karoke. Not a good idea I'm sure but after a few pints were are all Robbie Williams!

This place is alrite for when you are pissed out of your head and fancy a late drink,think I stayed there till about 4 in the morning one time which was not a good idea. Kareokee gets belted out by people who are tone deaf but its quite funny after you've had about 10 pints!

great smoking facilities,ashtrays everywhere after hours,you cant beat having a smoke at the bar just like the good old days.

Fantastic ales and great pub. Friendly staff and owners. All other pubs in Sandbach must be losing money now. Well worth visiting, I'll be back for more.

ON REFLECTION THIS PUB HAS HAD ITS HEY DAY,AND WAS A LOT BETTER WHEN IT WAS SHUT !

odd couple behind the bar,bloke loves himself though nice ales,but the place is that small it is like drinking at home.good late bar if ya face fits.wont be my first port of call in sandbach

Has just won CAMRA Conversion to cask award; serves Hydes bitter; mild and Jeckyl's Gold plus two guest beers. Now the best pub in Sandbach. A place that has not had a really good pub for many years.

Small very friendly pub, with different guest real ales on tap every week (+ Hydes beers). 2 plasma sceens showing prem plus and sky sports and not at 150db's. Top boozer!
