Stayed here a few times. The rooms are kind of tired but perfectly comfortable and good value. Food's pretty good and the beer is acceptable (could be a more interesting choice). It's a good looking Cotswold sandstone building and the interior is homely and inviting. I find the service can be unfriendly sometimes.

Ate here several times in November 2010. Very good food, friendly staff, lovely warm fire in the main bar. It's an old coaching Inn so lots of history and a very beautiful building.

Snobs.

Beer was reasonable and I had a decent lunch, but it had a slightly snooty atmosphere that I found a little offputting.

Pleasant pub in unspolt village. It's been refurbished to a high standard. It is a bit gastro (tho' I've not eaten there), but they're quite happy if you just want a pint. Good beer. They've also created a little beer garden which is a welcome addition. Well worth a visit.

Best pub in the world. Bang.

Stayed here, sadly for only one night, and found the pub clean and friendly. The room was well kitted out and comfortable. The food was ace although after a few pints at the bar I struggled to eat it all! Be warned the portions are large but of an excellent standard. They have a choice of real ales at the bar with at least one from a local Cotswold brewery. The breakfast was also very good and welcoming. We shall be back.

Good place to stay if you want country b&b within easy reach of Bath. Very friendly landlord and landlady who serve excellent food. A busy village pub with a more modern decor and friendly locals. The only slight down was having only two real ales; Courage and a local guest ale. Having said that, they were both very well kept and went down a treat!

Does good food (vegetarian and fish) and spacious en-suite accommodation. Has conference area with free internet access. What you'd expect of a traditional pub
