Well, the good points are ...... a very well laid out restaurant and immaculate settings - right by the entrance, which creates a very good impression. Secondly you are welcomed by a smiling waiter as soon as you enter - again very impressive as most places ignore their customers.
The downside is you cannot have a 'pub meal' as it's hardly a pub any more, or snack, as we wanted last night. You can have what I consider to be an expensive restaurant meal. Having said that I imagine it's a place you would choose for a special occasion or treating friends, but not for casual eating.

Re-visited last Sunday, still excellent. Had a very good Sunday Carvery. Advisable to book as the pub was heaving at 6:30pm. Very popular.

The comments on here are out of date i visited this pub in September/Oct 2009 the new owner and his wife and family took over the pub in August 2009, they have a huge following of satisfied eaters, gathered from the years they have been in the catering trade.
The food is unbelievably fabulous, a very high standard of care and presentation, the menu is diverse and interesting, there is a different menu lunch time to evenings....
The staff are very able and friendly. Gordon is the owner and does a great job on the Sunday carvery while his wife Jen. does the fabulous cooking.
Do try it. I would suggest you book for Sunday carvery. They seat around 80(?) but the restaurant is packed on Sunday.

Very nice place to eat. The food is fantastic, the drinks are good and the staff are polite, where else would you want to go for a meal out when you are on holiday in Weymouth?

Looks terrible, like a McPub. Full of families no doubt and people who like deep fried food. Thes places should be destroyed.

whilst on holiday we used this pub twice we were a party of 8,the food was fantastic,the service was fantastic,the beer was fantastic,the staff were extremely polite and helpful,and we recommend this pub highly for anyone visiting weymouth in search of a good quality meal at an affordable price.(the barmaid who was working on friday 25 july has the most beautiful eyes)

Just outside the Granby Industrial Estate so gets pretty busy come knocking off time. Unfortunately most of the place is given over to those wishing to eat whilst those of us with the temerity - this being a pub after all - to just want a pint or three are shunted off to one corner.
