New management from early summer 2011. Seems to be doing well and has popular live music most weekends. Ale is generally ok, although a couple of times recently I've had a pint that was past its best.

Lease went up for sale just after New Year, which is a shame as it sells a good selection of ales and all of them appear to be well kept.

Tiny little pub, blink and you'd miss it. Decent selection on of ale last time I was there.
Seems to have a lot of social stuff going on.
Don't know about the "chav" comment,seemed to be full of aged matelots talking about prostitutes they'd visited in the Far East, mind you this was lunchtime!!

Hmm, I'm not sure the opinion of the two previous reviewers is entirely objective. It's an okay pub, but it's always full of obnoxious chavs. Drink here in daylight hours only, then leg it as the sun goes down.

this is a great little pub just off the beaten track staff and management great allways real ale on for the proper bear drinkers asswell try this pub for a good time day or night also lots of Pompey fans
