Has a huge beer garden and is a pleasant place to visit on a summer’s evening.About 50 scooterist were quickly served by the efficient bar maids, had run out of Amstel but had lots of other ales and lagers on tap.Was very busy which shows what a decent establishment it is.They used to have three large Dobermans wandering around,I only saw one tonight barking from the top of a fire escape staircase, perhaps they’ve been barred now for bad behaviour.

Called in for the first time in ages . Still really good food and well kept beer, Isle of Purbeck and Piddle on when I visited .All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I don't understand the comment about the unsmiling landlord. Spill your drink in your lap and he will smile from ear to ear! Promise!

portions unnecessary quite frankly. nice fish tank making it all a bit 80's

Have eaten at this pub several times. Meals are big, and if you select from the chefs specials, right hand side of themenu, the value for money is great. There is also an extensive specials board which tends to be a little more expensive. Try a pint of Piddle 3.00 at last visit (28 July) pretty good stuff. Staff are friendly without being too friendly and the boss does need to learn to smile a bit more.

Good food, good beer, good view over trains too. However, landlord never gives a friendly welcome. This is the area for improvement.

A really good pub with a really nice bar and great real ales, if a bit pricey. The staff are very welcoming and the food is excellent. Portions are large, but apart from the chef's specials the prices are high. Well worth a visit.

Super food and service, great beer and wine all in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended

Excellent pub, excellent food, a friendly welcome and fantastic staff. All this makes the Seven Stars one of the bext pubs I've ever eaten in. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit.

Conservatory style dining area attached to the front of the pub hasn't ruined the overall effect I'm happy to say. Good food, well kept ales and ahem a friendly atmosphere if you discount the furious row that was going on in the kitchen between the Chef and one of his assistants when I was there. Very entertaining, they were inventing swear words on the spot for the edification of the entire pub whilst everyone pretended that they couldn't hear a thing and carried on eating and drinking.
