Royal Oak, Lostwithielback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
A fine looking place both inside and out with a pleasant tiered seating area.
However my pint of ale was very uninspiring and lifeless so the visit was slightly disappointing.

A free house serving food.
Pub divided into two bars one more of a 'Lounge bar' area with tables set out for food.
A warm welcome on arrival with three beers on tap, Doom, a guest beer, and St Austell brewery's answer to Guinness 'Mena Dhu', a rich dark stout. The beers in very good condition. A pleasant enough pub.

What a shame! Looks a great pub,but dont venture inside if you want a rel ale. Tried both beers on tap both rubbish. Went back at the end of holiday, no beer on told to come back in an hour two new beers going on.Went back later, one beer on, looked like pond water tasted like pond water. Will never go back.

We had a disappointing visit here. None of the three handpulls were working and the choice of other beers was poor. 1.25 for a bottle and a soft drink seemed like extremely good value. We queried it and the barmaid insisted it was correct. She came back around the corner and had to apologise - it should have been 3. She later dropped a bottle of Jack Daniels from an optic. I'm not sure how a pub can make any money operating like this, especially with the landlady drinking the profits. Try the Globe down the road instead.

No longer the quaint pub it used to be, now a Kareoke monster!

A quaint pub we discovered, with amazing food & welcoming staff, a real find.
