I take back everything I said on my previous post (Well almost everything). Went in last week and they had five real ales on; Cottage Metropolitan, Sharpes Doom Bar, Isle of Purbeck Fossil Fuel, Piddle Silent Slasher and Downton Dark Delight. Wonders never cease and the ales were well kept as well. What a transformation

The Royal Oak is the real shit-hole of Kinson. That excuse of a landlord is a real joke. The whole pub is funded by the government, meaning full of scum on the dole, and old men who should have been in a box years ago.

why the arguements ? the royal oak has a great range of real ales, gullivers has none ! need i say more !!!!

As a casual observer of this site i have to ask why if anyone slags off the oak, Gullivers tavern is mentioned in a derogatory manner? Far from being a hovel it has improved consistently. Both pubs are needed in the locale, so DR47 why not try saving your pub?

best get out of the grotty hovell knows as gullivers and try drinking in a great pub, with nice people. or you just slating the oak because you a sad little man/boy .

This could be the last christmas for dave and staff at the oak. Its a real shame.

Hardly a grotty pub. This pub is run bloody well and the real ales are kept properly. There is a large range of other drinks. Great entertainment aswell, been visiting this pub for more than ten years. The landlord dave and his staff are very friendly and you always get a warm welcolm, thats' if you deserve it. The locals are freindly, come and find out for yourself.

all staff are friendlky but dave and angel-angie really put out. the beer aint that great but the selection of drinks has become more widened. regular locals now most friendly so no worries ont hat and the entertainment is well organised

This pub is sound, regular punters with excellent bar staff. a great night out with the mates is a must with this pub, Kareoke on sundays is a laugh and various entertainment during the week! Mines a Double JD & Coke!

Grotty little pub with no redeeming features. No atmosphere, a smattering of dishevelled and inarticulate reugulars, disinterested staff and crap beer to boot. Only survives because the other pubs in the area are no better.
