Just visited the bell again after going back to Watchet. Still a great pub, very friendly staff and landlord, food good, had the cod and chips, excellent, also tried the roast on Sunday for the first time, really good, just like home cooked.
Great beer , good selection of local ales, keep up the good work.

Stayed for a few nights in Watchet. We visited The Star in for both drinks and food.
We found the staff very friendly as well as the regulars ,especially Jeff who was very informative of the local area. The bar food was average but unfortunately on a couple of occasions they were unable to cater for us as they were fully booked. We found the local pubs serving food for limited hours only. Overall, this pub has a very good atmosphere, warm and friendly. Also a beer garden to the rear. Will definately visit this pub again for food and drinks when in Watchet.

For me the best pub in Watchet. I've always had a friendly welcome here, good service and the real ale and cider always in great nick and generally a really nice and relaxing pub. Never tried the food so cannot comment.

Not sure why this pub is advertising as a camra pub guide 2011 when it was not even entered at the camra meeting for somerset pubs? obviously someones very mistaken.

I went in here after visiting The Star and I was much happier, friendlier, more down to earth and better kept beer. The whole place felt more like a proper pub, certainly the best pub in Watchet that I visited.

good clean friendly pub, good food, good local ales, good local ciders, just been approved for camra 2011 guide.
cannot understand previous reviewers comments, strange his comments for all but one pub in the town are negative.

Good two bar pub & clean good staff.
Beer has been good each time i have visited. Good selection of wine. cannot comment on the food but lots of people eating.

Great little pub! Excellent & attentive service which is so rare these days, beer in superb condition and a nice atmosphere. Not in these parts often but will def return when I am next here.

A good selection of local beers and ciders, the left side of the entrance retaining a basic public bar feel, the right side being a lounge for those seeking more comfortable seating and food. We thought the Exmoor Ale to be good quality and when the food we ordered and paid for had sold out, the staff were very attentive and offered us more expensive food for the same price.

Good pub, but could be even better, for the reasons mentioned above.

When you walk in, the right half of the pub has an inviting sunken seating area, completely at odds with the left half - over lit, red concrere floor.
