This pub is currently closed with To Let signs. The main road bypasses the pub and entry is via the housing estate. The garden is certainly large. Not sure if it will re-open though.

I have been drinking in the oakdale for 3 years and have had nothing but great and friendly service from all the staff. The food is always great and well served. The atmosphere is very friendly and the oakdale play host to lost of regular weekly events from jim's karaoke, Quiz night, local darts league, local pool league all of which are very well hosted. All in all a great local pub with great food, friendly staff, Lots of entertainment and a great atmosphere! Keep up the good work Con and Lyn

Food disgusting, what are you used to The Ritz. Most people i know love the food here and nearly every comment here compliments it.Darts food might not be the same but remember your not paying for it.

I play in the local darts league. The food that they present to us is absolutly discusting and I wouldn't feed it to my dog. The bar staff seem to want serve locals first

This pub was recomended to me. Tried it, enjoyed the food, locals friendly. The worse thing was the slow service.Easy to see from the dual carrigeway but had a job finding the car park.

Good food and surroundings in the lounge bar. Go into the public bar and its a bit different.Basic surroundings, customers who dont change out of there working clothes or overalls even in the evening. And a sign on the wall claimig its the world centre for darts. The Lakeside must be concerned about the competition'

Good inexpensive food. The landlord is very friendly but the landlady is a bit sharp.

Yet another East Dorset pub that still persists in using the suffix Hotel (cf Queens Park Hotel, Tatnum Hotel) although it's donkeys years since any accommodation has been available. Beer garden round the back is no escape from the noise of the traffic unfortunately. Regulars seem friendly enough. Bar staff helpful.
