This pub has recently undergone a refit and looks very nice now inside and outside.
Beer still pricey though and nothing special but Shepherd Neame obviously have plans for it and need to pay for the refurbishments!
Good place to go for a no hasle evening out in Chatham.

Not the same since it was taken over as the previous landlord was legend but still good boozer. The staff are always friendly especially dawn as she always makes me feel welcome.... there are worse places u could go

So why still drink in there if it's that bad (which it isn't) it doesn't take a genius to work out who posted the last comment does it!! the local busy body!
There's nothing wrong with the pub it is a friendly place that lots of people meet up and enjoy a relaxed time! i have been drinking in there for years and never had a problem with the staff or the atmosphere! it's a good old back street boozer that lots of people enjoy. If you ask me the good old backstreet pubs where everyone knows each other and is a friendly place for anyone are becoming a thing of the past.

what a dump holes in seats to many kids running about barmaids are always out smoking and never wash there hands would think twice about using it not very friendly

I use this pub on a friday night its good as can meet and have a chat in the saloon bar if thats the right term to use nowadays the other bar or public bar as it would be assumed to be is normally the youngsters hang out sky tv pool table and odd karaoke night but its a decent boozer people are welcoming and they dont rush you out of the door.good pint of shep neame beer bit pricey but thats the trend now.

Decent sized back street Shepherd Neame local. Corner location with beer garden. Clean and tidy and well run. Lacks character, but is quite acceptable. Your average local.
