Recommended for food by virtually everyone we spoke to in nearby Kington, this was our lunch stop on a day's walking yesterday. We were part of a large group so an excellent buffet lunch had been laid out for us and this was washed down with equally excellent Butty Bach, Dorothy Goodbody's Autumn Sunrise and Hobson's Best all for £2.90 a pint. A characterful pub that is listed in 2014's Good Pub Guide and Good Beer Guide and it even won The Good Pub Guide Outdoor Loo of the Year 2013! Would certainly like to visit again.

VISITED THE TRAM INN TODAY FOR THE FIRST TIME. LOVELY OLD PUB WHICH HAS NOT BEEN SPOILED. FRIENDLY LANDLORD AND LANDLADY, FRIENDLY LOCALS.
EXCELLENT FOOD AT REASONABLE PRICES. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We came upon this pub by chance en route back from Wales and won't forget it quickly. It looks lovely, from outside and inside, reeks of history, and has all sorts of comfy corners to skulk away to. Minus 1 point because the beer was iffy - Butty Bach needed to be changed and the alternative (forget which) was not at its best. Minus another point because my ploughman's lunch bore no relation to what a ploughman's should be. A bit of ham plus a few farty bits and pieces (since when where grapes an integral part of a ploughman's ?). All very chi-chi. But my chum enjoyed his Tramburger and I wish I had too.

thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this charming pub on the black and white pub trail in Herefordshire. A warm welcome presaged an excellent lunch ... well worth going out of one's way to sample. The cider was good too.

Totally brilliant food and drink.

Beer garden is safe for children.

My favourite pub!

Brilliant pub, friendly locals and lovely beer and food.

Landlord is very helpful and a character.

Traditionally decor and the restaurant area has recently been refurbished.

If all that was not enough, it has a large safe garden that is delightful to relax in on a Herefordshire balmy summers evening.
