3 of us had a lovely lunch last Sunday at the Churchill Arms. There was little waiting for 3 different meals. I had shoulder of lamb - the meat rolled off the joint and was exceptional; the veg was crisp and fresh. The service was perfect and we were even joined by the chef for a chat. Overall, a lovely way to spend an hour and a half on a Sunday!

This lovely pub has been transformed since the new owners took over in December 2011.Great food and Beer with excellent service and a genuine warm welcome. We are so pleased to have a great pub in our village.

This is my local pub & the very recent management change has turned this pub around. The welcome delightful with food that I would recommend & which is all home made. We've tried both the daily menus & the Sunday carvery (normal fare is also available on Sundays). The premises is already being cleaned & smartened up. All this after only just over 2 weeks so II eagerly anticipate further improvements to come.

Popped into the Churchill last week to sample the beers and a meal the meal was good but the three 'Real ales' on seemed a bit suspect. The 6x was so bad I had to ask the guy behind the bar to change it for something else. The second pint was not much better.Could be that the pipes have not been cleaned for sometime. The only ale that was good enough to drink was the 'Henry's Smooth'. The meal did make up for the poor beer and the service was very good.

a very nice clean and friendly pub, with a very nice atmospesphere the staff were all very helpful. the sunday cavery was just like home made lunch, and well worth the money, highly recomended if you want a nice lunch at a good price, there was nothing we could fault about it. (HIGHLY RECOMENDED)

I was informed that the pub was under new management as of November 2010 with a new chef and wanted to give it another go in January 2011 after a disappointing meal a few years back. Unfortunately nothing appears to have changed as the meal was average at best while the landlord seemed to be playing on his laptop and didn't even manage a hello. AVOID...

Graet pub, fantasic beer. They had a selection of ales, including 3 or so from Wadworth and one other. I stayed on Bishop's Tipple all night and it was in fine condition. Go visit!

An old Worthington House sat on side of A360. Retro refurbished bar has cosy feel and there is a separate Games room, and restaurant. 4 Wadworth beers on hand pull in good condition. Restaurant value meals eg Chilli 7.95, but the Bar Bites Menu gives a dozen beer soaking dishes for 2-3 which is a highly commendable feature we would like to see everywhere!! Staff & locals were friendly and welcoming. Reviewed 03/03/08 by SADCATS on Tour! SCORE-7.

Nice pub for social, and drinking. Tastefull decor a mixture old but new. Large restaurant to the rear, but the menu is limited to meat basically and the service terrible. Stick to the drinking side and you'll be fine.
