Hi, This bar has now reopened as R Bar...

We are slightly different in style as L'Oasis but still have the great sevice, food and drink and friendly welcome as you all have mentioned on here.

My name is Chris, I'm the manager here and look forward in seeing you here soon.

Unfortunately I think L'Oasis has closed! which is a real shame and it will be missed.

great pub and even more surprising considering the area. friendly staff, no nutters and consistently good music (if 50s and 60s do it for you). always got a a cask or two behind the bar as well as the meantime in the fridge and at sub-3 a pint, cannot complain. more a sit-and-have-a-chat kinda place but all the better for it

A lovely little pub. Tried the Greenwich Wheat on draught. This was ok, but also had a wide selction of other beers from the Greenwich brewery. Timothy Taylor was on gravity pour, although didnt try this. Food seemed slightly expensive. Well worth another visit.

Real Ales, huge selection of Meantime beers on draught and in bottles. Anyone tried the coffee porter or chocolate beer? What a treat!

I am pleased that you have reported on the food and the wine......This is a beer site and you were in a pub. Was the bloody beer any good or all squirted?

L'Oasis holds fabulous wine tasting events every month which is very unusual in this area and they are very reasonably priced too. We've been to three evenings now and found it sociable and informative....You do need to book in advance though as the events sell out in advance....

Since my last visit to L'Oasis a year ago there has been a significant change to the pub/restuarant with the addition of another dining room, which is no smoking, and ahead of next years law change. The standard of food was excellent as always, with Sunday roast being the best for miles around I reckon! The selection of wines and spirits was vast, the beer cold and ambience cool and relaxed. You could not find a better all round bar and restuarant in the area with a reasonable price list a bonus...

I walked into this small but friendly bar with my friend to have a meal and a good old chat as we had not seen each other since Christmas, when we ordered our drinks we nearly had a shock with the price but when we looked we had doubles so the price was not that bad. The menu was long and we did not know what to have as it varied very much from good old east end food Pie & Mash to fish, chicken, and other succulant food. We went for the chicken it was delicious.
The govnor of the bar came and spoke to us and really made us welcome even on here way home the chef came and said goodnight by the way her name is Bernadette.
If you want good food, chat and friendliness this is the place to go.
