Rumours true - no longer a pub - now a carvery restaurant! Can't see this doing well - The Royal (formerly The Royal Tavern) - now a Gastro Pub at the other end of the road, is bombing literally!

Apparently under new management again, if rumours are anything to go by, as ill health has prevented visiting of late! If so, what's gone wrong this time?

At last, The Porcupine back to what it was - well done to both Paul and Frankie for bringing back things to an even keel! Ignore and forget what you've heard before and go back!

Went to this pub to see singer Steve Dukes well worth the journey apart from a top class singer This pub was very relaxing comfy chairs open fire the most friendlest bar staff Ifound out theres two new managers which made us so welcome i know they have turned this pub round and has more of a family feel they do have plastic glasses but does it really matter no kids can get hurt if they fall there are doormen there only because bromley council rules this also makes for safer evenings its well worth going there im going back on 7th march where Steve is singing try it you might like it

Encouraged by jbs' comments we popped in on a weekday evening. The 'several real ales' were all from the dull end of the market: Pride plus the usual lot from the ghastly Greene King stable. Glowered at so intently by scary men in tracksuit bottoms and baseball caps that we about turned and went to the Park Tavern, Eltham instead.

This pub is featured as a "Family Pub". The beer garden has a lot of child friedly features - cages of birds and rabbits, safe fountains, and was mostly grassed. Several real ales on handpumps are available. I went there for the Sunday jazz, and was not disappointed with the quartet and singer. The only drawback was the 'plastic glasses'.

Not a bad pub friendly land lord and some staff ok, it has nice facilities for kids although i would never take mine there as it can be terrible in the evening people causing trouble all a bit much to take for the manager and owner who dont seem to have it under control. People going in and out the toilets in pairs if you catch my drift.. Although that was a while ago so hope its improved.

A great place to bring the kids, big garden, kids play area, hot food, sunday roast is great, only 6.99 and half price for the little ones. jazz band or singer every sunday. The landlord, landlady along with there 3 boys make us very welcomed. friday nights always good fun. on saturday band or Dj. never a dull moment. The whole pub has changed over the last 2 years.

Rabbits and budgies and weird, multi-coloured birds all iving together in cages? Can't be right.
Pub's ok, it's nice to have grass under your feet when in a beer garden (pretty rare in London) but I wasn't blown away.
