I haven't been in yet, but I'm pleased to report that it's still open as of December 2013!

Almost a similar story to Beer Spotter and FrankDS as on my visit my selection of Rebellion Mutiny was curtailed as it was end of barrel. However, the ubiquitous Doom Bar was on tap, so all was not lost. I was the only customer at 5:45pm on a Tuesday afternoon which was sad in itself, but even sadder was a poster on the wall proclaiming that The Victoria Arms was going and that they were having a closing down sale on 6th April...

Only one proper beer on tap (Doombar) but when its well looked after and tasted great as this did, then one is all you need. Nice log fire and friendly bar man as well.

Went here for the 1st time to be told they had no ales. This was a Saturday! As 'Beer Spotter' stated in April, it happened to him/her. How common is this? Not good for a CAMRA local beers member.
|
Went in a week last Friday night about 10pm only to find they'd run out of real ale. Apart from this glitch the place is doing well. Worth another visit.

Good little pub - decor a bit sterile and cold when you enter - but 2 ales on TTL (yawn) but Hammerpot Red Hunter was excellent - best beer of the night - looks like would be good to watch the game as long as not too many scrotes are in - worth a pint or 2 on a Wokingham crawl

Crackin little pub and a great place to watch some rugby. Good tucker and some interesting local ales.
|
There now appears to be a local beer in - Loddon Hullabaloo on 13/07. Not sure if it is permanent but good to see nonetheless.
|
Cosy and comfortable, decent beer and friendly - needs a bit extra on the beer front to maintain GBG place.
|
Still doing a good job in here - 2 ales (TT Landlord plus guest) in a vibrant new-style local pub.
Agree with the comment about getting a local beer in - there's plenty to choose from and it will definitely sell if given the chance.

New licensee Ebony has made some changes, including the decor, and it is comfortable. Still two decent cask ales, (Landlord and Everards Tiger) but where's the Loddon? Some local beers would be appreciated. Still the usual scrum smioking on the pavement outside, though. Not unpleasant at all.

It's a great place to go for a quick one at lunch time. It isnt smack bang in middle of town which is another plus. Still havn't tried the real ale yet though..the young tom and the other. After an experience with speckled hen in the redan earlier this year its put me off

Sampled the mini beer festival last week, very enjoyable with 6 brews, plus the other 3 tap ales, all very reasonably priced for the area.
Landlord is doing a great job here, it had quite a poor reputation a few years ago but the trouble-makers have been scared away, and the regulars are a good friendly crowd that you can get chatting to.
Has screens in now for sport, so well worth a visit.
One small complaint is that it can get quite smokey though, but in a few months time that'll be redundent I guess!
Good times.

Got to disagree with the backstreat style boozer that quinno so kindly puts it. I liked this pub, good atmosphere and nice ale.
|
Nice pub!
Good drinks selection, with good real ales. I have not tried the food.
Staff are friendly and regulars respond in kind.
Well worth an evening

Backstreet (well as backstreet as Woky gets) boozer that has been overhauled inside and is (unusually) much the better for it too.
An excellent range of ever-changing and well kept real ales which are well advertised.
Gets very smoky though, and sometimes feels a bit dim inside but this is definately one of the better pubs in Woky right now.
