has reverted to being a paddies pub during the week---still good boozer for a chat which can become lively--chatted to a polish guy the other week who insisted he was a forest gate native-hilarious!

Yes - it's closing down. Dropped by 2 days ago, 2 more weeks to go - and Bohola is gone. It may re-open, probably as a gastrofied animal

The "Bohola" will be showing the Salford vs Harlequins RL game on Bank Holiday Monday Kick-off 7pm. To get to the pub:

From Bethnal Green central line, take the Bethnal green road exit and walk down to the second traffic lights. The pub is opposite woolworths.

From BR Bethnal Green walk up Wilmot Street and enter Bethnal Green Road. The pub is across the road. Tell anyone who wants to watch the game.

Roaringly Irish. Every man in the place seems to be called Tommo.

The pub that time forgot. More old skool than Run DMC. Full of Irish immigrants from the 1950's who are willing to impart their lifestories to anyone who'll listen. Its not unusual to see a JCB outside with its hazard lights on, while its occupant is sipping a pint of porter inside. Many of the elderly clientele look eerily like Jack Lemmon.

The Guinness is exceptional though.... and only 2 a pint. High on entertainment value.

The pub has a nice atmosphere and is an Irish pub with a welcoming atmosphere. They have a big screen for showing sport and on Saturday 18 February, they will be showing the Bradford Bulls vs Harlequins RL rugby league game. Kick-off at 6pm. It is throughly recommened for watching Rugby.
