Expensive but actually the beer is good so you end up not minding too much.
Nothing not to like.

After a visit to the BrewDog pub 5-10 minutes walk away, we continued to this Draft House pub. This is the third pub from this chain that I have visited and they follow a similar formula. 3 ales were on - Belleville Tie Die Rye, Sambrooks Four Chimneys Chocolate Stout & Dark Star Revelation. They also have a good craft beer selection and bottled beers too. Although the craft beers can be fairly pricy. There's a discount for CAMRA members. Another place with a predominantly young (but friendly) crowd. I may have been here when it was the Pitcher & Piano. The Draft House chain is a big improvement on Pitcher & Piano.

With its Daily Draft both fresh and good value, the sort of innovative place that I didn't realise this area was up for - you'd associate it with East Dulwich or Moseley or somewhere like that. Battersea is improving no end. Beware sitting on or at beer barrels outside as some are not that stable. Good apart from that.

Well the poor old P'nP on Northcote Road is closing down. The thing is that this has absolutely zero to do with the economy and everything to do with the management at the place.
Over the years the place has become a bit run down and the crowd has certainly changed.
I gave it another shot a few weeks ago and the same group of youths were hanging around on their bikes at the front. It is because one of the group is older and is enjoying a beer whilst the rest of them chat away from the street. And the manager seems to have a rapport with them so while he chats away the business in falling through the floor.
Furnishings old - no serious investment on the inside for ages. The glass on the outside wall has made the small drinking place look more like a jail cell.
No sir - this time you cant blame the economy. Congrats - it is almost impossible to have a pub on this street and run it into the ground.

Shut.

Good, friendly local. Several screens so you can see the footie/rugby from wherever you are in the bar. Has a canopy and seats outside for smokers. Makes a quiet place for lunch with friends during the week (food is above average for this type of pub) but it can get very crowded when a big match is on. Cellar is well managed and the staff proffesional.

Pitcher and Piano Battersea bills itself as a home away from home and after a recent return visit, I have no hesitation in saying it does everything possible to live up to this tag. After spending the past 10 months travelling, I arrived home to my stomping ground to find what I once called my local watering hole, to be better than ever. Pitcher and Piano Battersea creates an experience unique to the local crowd, and I find it humbling that whenever I step foot in the door, I am greeted on a first name basis! I was so surprised that the Manager Dave even remembered me! I find the cosy atmosphere to be a reflection of the warmth this relaxed friendly bar oozes as a local for the Northcote Road and surrounding residents. The quiz night on Monday is a massive hit and something I will venture to on a regular basis. Theyve put out a new cocktail called Finish in the Pink which I cant get enough of. I would never have thought Rose wine teamed with vodka muddled with fresh berries would be such a dangerously mouth-watering combination! I really admire the work they do for charity, namely the Pink Ribbon Foundation, where 10 p from every Pink Cosmo cocktail sold, is donated. With the grub, you most definitely get value for your money. The portions are generously sized; and with all food freshly prepared I really notice the difference in flavour. All in all, its great to be back!

Very small. Quite battered furnishings and you'll need a ladder and some binoculars to see the TV.
Cramped. In a word...

Same as the rest of the chain, but always reliable for a bit to eat in the evening
