Berkeley Hotel, Scunthorpeback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Berkeley has been closed for some years now, still being maintained by Sam Smiths as it is a listed building.

A large pub very close to Scunthorpe's football ground. Its 2 large rooms are large enough to cater with the rush on matchdays. Although the bar itself can end up being 4 or 5 deep. The standard Sam Smiths beers are served with Old Brewery Bitter available on handpull. Whilst the building itself was large, I didn't find it overly inspiring.

Huge old building, recently refurbished I am told. Sam smiths pub, so excellent value!!

Six of us drove up from Leicester last season for Scunny away... Great location (for motorway/football ground), great pub, great beer, great prices, 90% away fans in bar prior to match (no trouble), comfortable rooms at a great rate. Friendly, helpful staff. Booking again today, for this seasons tie!

new managers now everything ok, extremely nice couple, very helpful

Very pleasing Art Deco inspired basic hotel, with some very good Sam Smiths (1.38) and a decent relaxed atmosphere. Bet the main room was unpleasant before the smoking ban, though !

Had a quick pint of OBB in here after Saints played the Iron. Very cheap, only something like 1.29. Plenty of space in the main bar and another large drinking area. Sam Smith's so you know what to expect beer wise.

We have stayed here twice now. The bar staff and locals made us feel very welcome, as for the Manager and Manageress, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was good and the rooms were of an excellent standard in cleanliness. We will be going there again next month.

Great pub freindly barstaff and customers. Shame about the manager, no personality and loads of attitude.
