please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A decent enough alternative to the rather lacklustre offerings of Bicester town centre. That it's owned by Greene King doesn't detract from their shtick, and a ploughman's lunch ticked all the boxes containing as it did both ham and cheese. Friendly and attentive service was also another feather in this establishment's hat.

Having been in there a number of times since my last review I have to say the place has not changed one single bit; not even the landlords tie, shirt and surgically fixed smile. He has no charisma whatsoever and is generally a very dull landlord. The food is still over priced, badly cooked with tiny portions and a never-changing menu.

Beer prices are exceptionally high although for a while I think the message got through about the 3.20 for a Kronenbourg. It was reduced to 3.05 for a while but it has now crept up. I think it maybe back to 3.20 again now which is still pricey but not too bad in the current climate.

Quiz on a Sunday is ok every other week. The music quiz is rubbish as it is too niche.

Still a nicely kept pub, very clean... The loos have to be the cleanest loos I have ever come across. The garden is well kept and everywhere is spick and span. The sort of place you could take your granny for a Sunday roast after church without fear of any unsociable behaviour.

Very clean pub, good food, a little pricey but very nice. Friendly landlord, beer served very well, newspapers in rack and bar snacks on sunday. Good all round pub, a relief from the pubs in Bicester. Try the butcher opposite, very nice.

Have now tried the food and wasn't impressed. A never changing menu, tiny portions and not very well cooked. We'll not mention the top-end restaurant prices for the food either. Now the beer... The beer is good but 3.20 for a pint of Kronenbourg???? Even the Guinness is only 3 a pint. Fosters is a more reasonably priced 2.80. It seems if you like the nicer lagers you're going to be blatantly ripped off.

Nice, clean pub and a nice clean, well presented beer garden. The place still lacks an atmosphere which is a shame as the exterior gives the impression of a proper English village pub. The locals in there don't help really as they congregate around the end of the bar and it makes you feel as if you're an outsider.

This pub has a few things going for it but is sadly ruined by the lack of atmosphere, expensive rubbish and frankly uninspiring food and extortionate prices for lager.

Recently discovered the Bull at Launton and I have to say I was impressed. Welcoming landlord, good range of beers and the snacks menu recommended. Worth coming off the nearby A41 for a visit

Expensive and quite dull. Reminds me of a small hotel that your parents would have taken you to on holiday as a kid. More of an eating place. Apparently the food is very good although I haven't tried it yet.
