Nice open fire with a large dog lying in front of it. Nice pint of Loose Cannon, Abingdon Bridge. Front bar is the best place, the rest of the pub seems to cater for the tourists and food.

Stopped in for a quick pint on Sunday and was rewarded with a fabulous pint of Hung Drawn `n` Portered.

Popular with visitors to picturesque Burford. Two Hook Norton beers Hooky Bitter and Old Hooky on tap (the Bitter was quickly taken off when a later customer returned his pint) but chose the White Horse Village Idiot which was OK'ish. Good range of snacks and meals on offer at lunchtime - bir pricey but this is Burford after all. Friendly staff here.

Admit this aint the finest and fanciest looking pub in town. Inside the pub front room was not what i expected. However, the service was really, good. From really, helpful staff. The food was excellent, haven't had a starter taste as good since... Outstanding meal, few jars in the front room with the locals, top visit. Certainly go again. Top pub grub in Oxford.
Didn't try the beer garden - January's a bit cool for my ale.

Pub with planned chaos, and only one toilet!!!!

Not bad. Pictureseque looking both inside and out. Only had 1 pint on a midweek late afternoon and was frequented with youngsters from town. Not many though and all well-behaved. Didn't wander into back bar. Good for a quick one on the High St

Only popped in for a quick pint as i was passing through, went in front bar which was very cosy with a warm fire going, nice cotswold stone walls, they serve a good selection of food too although i didn't have time to eat there but wished i had. Traditional pub well worth a visit.

I liked this place.. Nice selection on beer and the White Horse Weyland was right up my street
We came back in the evening having booked a table and I was afraid the food would be very simple
I needn't have worried as it turned they had a great selection and at a good range of prices. Opting for a beef and guiness pie was the right decision and home made crumble for dessert was great.. (They have big ice-cream/gateau deserts which looked great on other peoples tables)
I would recommend this pub for those wanting good local beer, good service and good food
I think the lady's name is Kizzy(maybe Izzy) and she was always checking I was OK and made sure everything was cleared and served quickly

Stayed in Burford during Feb half time. Went on a reccy into town and had a quick pint here. Overall a nice pub. Bar area for only drinking is a bit small (the bigger area is the restaurant at the back). The bar is all smoking so not ideal for taking the kids (unless they're on 20 a day). Went back again the next day but didn't try the food 'cos our hunger didn't tie in with the 6pm food start time in the evening. Maybe they serve food all day in the busy times in the year??

Pleasant and friendly, front bar a bit scruffy and loos need sorting out but otherwise fine during the day at least. I suspect it changes in nature later on. Nice pint of White Horse. Food looked dodgy.

Popped in in the early afternoon and found it to be a very freindly, old pub with a restaurant at the back. Nicely kept and a pub I would go (indeed did) back to again. Range of real ales. Had the White Horse bitter which might have been stood in the pipes for a bit too long. Nonetheless a good pub.
