Star and Garter, Thameback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I notice that my review is the most recent measured in years rather than months. This is hardly a pub anymore, it's a full blown indial restaurant! Still has four hand pumps, only one in use and on my visit the Morland Best was off anyway. However, polite waiters and nice food too.
Off of the main street, found it on the way to the rugby ground.

Nice friendly local pub. Great food, and they have pool, darts, aunt sally, etc. Beer is always very good too.

Used to be a busy pub, now ruined by landlords arrogance who has no vision and common sense. The clientel needs refreshing and positivness needs to be restored.

Nice locals pub. Lovely Landlord and Landlady, serving decent food and offering warm hospitality. Not too sure if they are going overboard with the family orientation though, too many unsupervised children taking over the bar area, pushing the regulars away from the heart of the pub.

A bit out of the way from the main drag, a friendly locals pub, had good value for money pub grub. Beer was reasonable, I had a Sun Dance ale, not too pricey. TV screens showing footy results.
