Uninspiring beer (Deuchars IPA and Doom Bar) in average condition in an uninspiring pub.

Nothing exceptional but significantly better than it used to be! Considering it's part of a chain the pizzas are pretty good, and the big chap who appears to be the landlord/manager is friendly and welcoming. You do get plenty of the ol' Kidlington regulars in but none of the trouble the pub had previously seen over the years (none that I have recently seen anyway).

Vies with (and probably beats) The Duke of Monmouth on Oxford's Abingdon Road for the award for most TV screens in one establishment. Part of the Pizza Kitchen Bar chain, but none the better for it; a lunchtime visit saw the usual characters that populate the pubs in the satellite towns of Oxford at that time of day, and a bowl.of nachos was served unnervingly quickly; with half of the portion consisting of dry, salted tortilla chips once the top layer had been consumed. Little to stand out from the rather lacklustre affairs Kidlington has to offer.

Just to be great a few years ago, but now its has to be one of the worst pubs in Kidlington. Really UNfriendly and far too much trouble in there at the weekends

great friendly drinking pub: great customers, staff and atmesphere. excellent real ales & draught largers has recently putting live bands on and recent refurb - a long needed kick into the 21st century!!!!

Sh*t hole. Being run my idiots - has almost been shut down. Nobody (in there right mind) goes in there. Used to be good - ruined.

Probably the least attractive pub in Kidlington, there being two a hundred yards away and one just up the main road. It has always had a patchy reputation in the past that it needs to throw off. I was in there the other day as my usual pub had run out of my usual beer. Towards the end of the evening I went for my last pint a few minutes prior to closing time at 11:00 and she was so busy cashing up was the woman who admitted she was the landlady (Emma) that she said she had stopped serving - so much for nice bar staff and a warm welcome, eh? I was also none to happy about a fire escape having a note on it saying it was in need of maintenance.

Pretty deary, chavy and something of a cross between an airport pub and a student union. Nothing interesting beer wise, tho Guiness was decent. Good for playing pool and they do seem to show all the footie so you could do worse.
