This has now closed - as grecian says, this whole piece is now being redeveloped. Thus Deakins (round the corner, same block) has also gone.

Food is nice, but �9 for two average drinks, they can get stuffed!

Typical theme'd bar. Nothing exciting in this one, compared to others in the chain.
On the plus side does have no smoking upstairs. However, draft beer (rather than lager very much in short supply.
Recently has had a great strawberry continental lager on (but around 5%ABV). More of a food with a drink place than a typical pub mix.

The Slug and Lettuce. What does that even mean? Our food has bugs in it?? If you re-arrange the letters in Slug and Lettuce you can make the phrase "Ferrel Dog Lovin" which is appropriate I think? Quite handy place to order loads of drinks at 11 in the summer then sit on the benches outside until late.

Worst pub in the City, bar none. I would rather drink in the P&P on Bishopgate than in here. And believe me, that is saying something. Woeful. Poor overpriced 'beer', risable air con and inattentive staff. I won't get started on the clientele present on the two occasions I had the misfortune to visit.......
