Yes, deffo closed and now a private house.
Like so many others I would have fancied a pint whilst waiting for my connecting train but I suspect that it just couldn't survive on the occasional punter coming in for a swift one before they get it, plus I guess that the locals in this part of liskeard never bothered to use it either ...... so hence the closure.

Closed down now but what a fine old place this would have been if still open.
A beautiful old fashioned railway tavern, surely this place would have been a gold mine with people connecting trains for Looe and just having a quick one.
A real shame to see it gone forever....

Arrived at Liskeard and exited the station to see this smart looking building which sadly, it appears isn't smart enough as despite new looking 'community pub' signage and clean windows it appears to have closed down. Shame, I was really looking forward to taking a peek inside.

Popped in last night for a quick pint before getting a train. Two ales on: Doombar and Tribute. Had a pint of the latter which was fine. Split pub with a pool table on right as you come in and seating on the left plus an open fire. There were pies available if food was required. Busy with locals. Nothing fancy but fancy is not necessarily a good thing when it comes to pubs.

As the venerable getsit (below) notes, it's pretty unspectacular. My advice would be to get rid of the Chinese restaurant/takeaway, which detracts from the pub ambience, such at it is. This would allow the beer garden to flourish again. Also, a more intelligent choice of beers might assist some of the clientele in moving on to the town centre pubs for their battery-acid lager. This pub has the potential to be a nice old-fashioned hostelry perfectly suited to catering for locals and railway-people but at the moment one cannot imagine Bernard Cribbins going anywhere near it.

drank in here a few years ago when visiting my Dad. Landlord was a very friendly bloke with his massive brood of kids.
very nice place for a good fri/ sat night drink with the family

Good pub but too much furniture ! Feels crowded without people .

Unspectacular a best, but - mainly due to being as 'out of the way' as it is- a decent place for a quick glug of Mass-Produced-Lager (TM). No more, but to be fair, no less
