Queens Head, Titchfieldback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The pint of Double that I had from Flack Manor last night was sharp. When I returned to the bar, on hearing this, a Churchill-esque gentleman on a stool next to me took it immediately to his lips and scowled. "That's why I drink Guinness", he rumbled. The staff changed the barrel and the next pint was fine.
There was a good range, I only tried the one, but I'm not sure that it's turning over quickly enough.
The beautiful Georgian exterior of this pub is not followed through to the inside, but it's cosy and with a friendly atmosphere.
A respectable six or seven out of ten seems about right to this happy wanderer.

I have to totally change my comment of 5/7/11, this pub has come on leaps and bounds especially in the local ale department, and at the same time the Wheatsheaf has become VERY foodie, and you don't feel comfortable just popping in for a beer nowadays, this is my pub of choice when visiting Titchfield nowadays

I'd have to rate this pub as my second favourite of our day out in Hampshire. Whilst the real ale range wasn't the best - Ringwood Best, Oakleaf Hole Hearted & Wells Bombardier, I thought this place was full of character with a real olde worlde feel. The nearby Wheatsheaf is a better choice for ale range. But the Queens Head edges it on the basis of the surroundings.

A decent selection of 3 real ales plus the normal crowd pleasers, and a good sized fried breakfast can be had. Warm & welcoming on a recent visit, busy with walkers too.

ok pub, worth a pint if you are local, but the wheatsheaf is a lot better
