Londesborough Hotel, Selbyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Central pub and hotel, 3 cask ales, the Golden Pippin was decent.

Well, I like it. Some of the furniture is a bit tatty, I admit, but the food is good and it features guest beers.

This pub is terrible !! if anyone actually uses these reviews please take note !! the beer was awful and served in a warm glass !! its just a pit for lager swilling pixs heads with money to burn...
the service was terrible and overall this pub deserves to be visited purely and simply to see what sites like this are so valuable !!

An enviable position by the Abbey - has every chance to be the best place in town. That it isn't is indicative of its apparent desire to appeal to the lowest common denominator. All pubs in Selby town centre appear to wish to cater to the lager swilling youth market and this place is no different. Characterless, soulless, staffed by uninterested, uninvolved youngsters. A shame - could and should be so much better.

After having an enjoyable time at the market myself, partner and parents went for a meal. My partner said the toilets were disgusting (female ones). The meals for 4 took 40 minutes which you may put down to the fact it was a bank holiday. The table was dirty on arrival and not cleared. The food tasted ok but about 1hr 30 minutes later i had a bad bout of diarrhea. Mild food poisoning can occur 2minutes to 2 hours after food. Im no expert but i only had cheerios in the morning and i believe it was down to the meal! (However it may have been due to another reason) Whilst waiting for my partner to come from the toilets i saw a waitress come out with a meal and the kitchen floor and walls looked dirty. The only encouarging thing was i won 43 on the bandit! Bad experience on this particular day.

The Londesborough is a hotel and not really a pub, They serve typical hotel beer at typical hotel prices. As a hotel it is very good, nice rooms etc, as aa pub just avoid it.
