unfriendly bar staff, clearly more interested in dealing with their mates than paying customers, don't go near the place
Trendy, relaxed and characterful. Eclectic choice of beers, well kept. And rather beautiful barmaids, and handsome barmen to be strictly objective, to boot!
Exactly what a pub should be - easy, relaxed and welcoming. Best pub I've been to in ages.
Lively pub, loud music, mostly full of twenty and thirty somethings early Saturday evening,I quite liked the place and would call in again when in the area.
not bad little pub with some well kept real ales.
This is my local and I think it's a really good pub for the area with a mixed group of friendly regulars and generally a welcoming, cheery atmosphere. Comfy settees, but sometimes not enough space to sit down due to it's popularity.
They make brilliant and quite cheap Pizzas that I highly recommend. Good Wines too.

full of artists who cant draw. dimlo central. sit and listening to these dimlos talk polotics and you can understand why this country is in the shit

Love this pub. I've lived round the corner now for two years and it's my favourite local. It's shabby chic is the type of thing I love and it's got good entertainment, with a quiz on monday and djs at weekends. I've always found staff to be very polite, and apologetic if it's really busy so I can't agree with some of the other reviewers. The Florist has a lot of hardcore fans and I can definately see why.

Love this pub, scruffy and all mixed up but somehow works as a whole. mix of people, mix of music but always good. a real modern local.
Although this quaint little pub is quite laid back and comfortable, the bar staff certainly aren't.
I was told the bar lady was too busy to pull a pint while she sorted out a round of shots for her mates. I see this is a familiar theme to The Florist.
Overall I was impressed by the pub but don't expect much happiness from the bar staff.

I like this pub, small, scruffy-chic, with a nice atmosphere. Interesting mix of old-timer Eastenders and the cool young crowd. Bit pricey but not ridiculous. Good friendly quiz night and the core staff are great and make a real effort, with a cheeky charm that adds to the chilled-out vibe.
But off-peak the staff seem to be ever-changing and pretty poor, and the service has definitely slowed in recent months. Tonight I was waggling a fiver at a deserted bar for about ten minutes while seemingly both bar staff were outside having a fag. This lets down an otherwise pretty nice local.
Popped in here with friend after having passed it a few times and thought it looked quite pleasant. Wrong. Rude and unattentive bar staff. Not a smile between the two of them and were clearly far too busy contemplating their own fabulous-ness to serve me a drink. Stood at the bar with cash clearly in hand for about 4 minutes - barman was texting on his phone and barwoman had popped out for fag. Very loud music. Dirty tables. Generally rubbish. Went up the road to The Camel - was exactly what we were looking for! Take note, Florist.
I only ever drink Guinness in here since they got rid of the Tanglefoot but this is just down the road so it suits me fine! Good for an after-work pint and everyone in there is really friendly. The clientelle are a little poncey but its got a decent atmosphere when the bar staff aren't subjecting us to Bob Dillon's greatest hits on full blast!

great football team...
The florist is great if you go on a Monday evening. It's not too full and the DJ always puts on some good tunes. Try to avoid weekends though as it gets a bit packed.
The camel,Florist and the greyhound all in the same road, and all rammo at weekends going back a while, Dont talk to me about pie and mash, you couldn't live with my knowledge of it, or the east end pubs; TA TA.
well ..not too bad to have a quick drink there ...the serving area is too big comparing the whole floor area,so bad space planning ! but loads or trendy people there ....comparing to other pubs on that area definitely its a good one, and yeh loads of mini art gallery nearby !
Wannabe? The only thing most of the punters in here wannabe is drunk!

agreed, get some ale in!!!
I'd heard great things about this place, but ended up feeling rather disappointed. they seem to have stopped doing food, and the pint i ordered was both flat and warm. plenty of trendies hanging out there though, so presumably it has more subtle charms than beer and food....

Never cry over spilt milk. It could've been whiskey! Quirky place The Florist, well done!
