The Brickies has now closed - it seems even the coming of the Straw Bear could not make it viable

ALWAYS first class beer in the "Brickies" but the atmosphere is usually dead. Usual local ales on Tydd Steam, Elgoods ect.

Nice pub on the edge of the town centre, with places to drink outside, first class beer and staff who'll go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Has been above average for many years and now looks on the up.

How cool is this pub, been there quite a few times in Jun/Jul 2008 & then again in Sept/Oct 2009 and will visit again in Jul/Aug 2010 - Cath & John landlords are fantastic people, and of course the locals which is how I came to know the pub

Pub that time forgot. And in a weird kind of way it's all the better for it. Not sure about wine being served up in what looked like tumblers given away free by petrol stations in the 80's after you spent five sheets of the realm. But then what do I know?

Great little pub tucked away from the High Street. A good selection of ales plus an interesting collection of local history books with lots of period photos of Whittlesey. Well worth a visit.

Restores one's faith in the traditional friendly local serving great beer at reasonable prices.("get it down yer") The Sunday lunchtime chatter & rattle of dominos as the Fenland storm raged outside made this pub the perfect refuge. A rare place indeed.
