Visited for the first time today and enjoyed an Eagle IPA while sitting in the sunshine in the large back garden.
Two ales on tap - Eagle IPA and Smooth at 2.80 a pint. Very drinkable.
Pretty large inside, obviously caters for people who watch sport on TV and the staff were very friendly too, so extra marks for that.

I really like this pub, comparing it to many other pubs in the local enfield area, I found the bar staff friendly with a great sense of humour, great atmosphere on every occasion I have visited.

They are great for sporting events, especially football and the London Derby days here are fantastic - definatly a good day out if I can't get a ticket for the game!! I will definatly be watching the world cup here as I like the beer garden they have it's a good size and they have a telly outside! great for me and my fellow smokers!!

I also happened to be in here on a day when they were raising money for a local boy who wasn't very well, there was a huge turnout for him - good to see the community spirit still alive.

a well deserved 10 out of 10 from me - worth popping in to check it out if in the area!

Im guessing the last review was from staff and i'd agree with it all except the very friendly part.

The locals dont like anyone walking in who doesnt happen to have been drinking there for the last 40 years or knows someone who has. That's fine, you know, these things happen in pubs. But dont try and fool yourself, or anyone else that you'll be getting any busier for the summer if your 'regulars' have their way.

Luckily for you, the World Cup will mean they dont get their way this time round.

This is a good sized pub with a public bar that houses a pool table, dartboard and large plasma screen for showing Sky Sports. This bar seemed to be frequented by the younger group of locals who all had to check me out as I walked in. The other larger bar is a little more relaxed, but it still has plasma screens throughout and the same football match on ESPN that was being shown in the public bar was being shown. There is another good sized room at the rear of the pub that has a dartboard on a stage area, which also doubles up as the bands area for live music nights. If you continue on into the back garden you will find a good sized drinking area with a large covered smoking area that has an old TV in it so that none of the match needs to be missed on a fag break.

I found the staff to be polite without being very attentive and I spotted Wells Eagle available alongside a standard draught selection.

This pub has everything that I would wish to have in my local, but this isnt my local and I wouldnt travel to drink here again although I would probably pop back in if passing.

Jam Nights are back every alternative Monday. Starting 26/3/07 and also on 3/4/07 and then every other Monday. Even if you dont have your own instrument, dont worry as many can be supplied

Hate it
Went there for St Patricks Day and it was full of kids running around
Did not find it friendly or welcoming at all

Don't let the hideous pale green paint job on the outside of this pub dissuade you from venturing inside where you will receive a friendly welcome in a traditonal pub with two seperate bars. Range of drinks is surprisingly good and this is to my knowledge the only pub in Enfield that has draft Red Stripe(Delicious). Barstaff know their stuff and are polite and speedy and prices are possibly under what you might expect. The larger bar is very nice and has a very large screen for sports and a stage area for the live bands and karaoke that they have here fairly frequently. The other smaller bar is nice and cosy without being musty and murky. Good all-rounder of a pub that is equally suitable for a quiet pint or a more exuberent evening out.
