cheap but lacks character, doesn't feel very welcoming or like somewhere you might want to linger. also noticed the 'tang' to the pint of Pride, not pleasant.

Pretty bland, plain and characterless bar. Had a pint of Pride which had a tang to it. Only worth dropping in to if you are stuck in the Finchley Central area. Would drink lager here if I happen to be again.

Went to this pub to watch the football with a friend. Had two pints and burger and chips for less than a tenner and ended up staying later than we should have. Staff we notable quick at serving during the half time rush. Ral local pub. We will be back.

I have walked up past the joners early sunday morning numerous time the footpath full of blood outside. If you like knifes maybe the odd gun a bit of getto gang warfare maybe you dont have to look further this place should have a danger sign for drinkers who stay afte 9:00. Be careful ware a bullet proof vest and have a pair of trainers to run out the door

I spent a Saturday afternoon/early evening in here and found it to be pleasant enough. Admittedly I did spend most of it in the nice beer garden at the rear of the pub. There is also some seating at the front of the pub, but it is right next to a busy main road.

Lots of standard lagers were available alongside Pride, but the Pride was not good. I ended up on the Stella and this plus a pint of Fosters came to the grand total of 4.95 Cheap as chips! The barman/manager was polite, but didnt crack a smile once. The evening staff were a lot happier and seemed to be enjoying themselves behind the bar.

The inside has lots of comfy seating and there are 3 plasma screens and 3 normal sets for watching the sport on.

As said below, this place is OK for a local, but it has a Barracuda Pubs feel to it maybe it is!

The beer is decent but that's about it, not much of an atmosphere. True the garden isn't bad in summer. Ok for a local.

Bit of a strange place - I can't make up my mind whether I like this pub or not. During the day it's a reasonable place to come for a quiet pint (London Pride seems always to be on tap) - it has a nice little beer garden and is handy for the tube. On Friday and Saturday nights, though, it transforms into some kind of late night venue. Loud music, bouncers on the door, etc etc. It also has some man in the gents who tries to wash your hands for you and expects a tip - which annoys me, especially after a few beers when you are making fairly regular trips to the facilities! On the other hand, it isn't over run by the teenage chavs you get down the road at the Central; so if you want somewhere lively and open late in Church End, this is probably your best bet.

Have known this pub for over thirty years and recall people refering this place as a local dump. The Joiners Arms was a lot better then than now. At the very least i did not have a dodgy looking eastern european inspecting me to make sure i wasnt wearing joggers, what an unacceptable outrage. I will avoid this place like the plague.

why did I go there, still don't know. Was told we couldn't sit outside after a certain time - why??

I'd recommend this pub to people in Finchley Central. It has a lively atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Can get very packed on football nights, especially when eastern european teams are in action.
