Twin Farms, Kenton Bank Footback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Wednesday's tour of Newcastle pubs took me out to Kenton Bank Foot and the Twin Farms, which is a Fitzgeralds establishment within easy walk of Bank Foot metro station. I was a little disappointed though. It's predominantly a foodie place. But they did have 4 ales. Anarchy Blonde Star is the regular beer. There was another guest from Anarchy - Citrastar, in addition to Sonnet 43 Abolition & Great North Eastern Red Ellen. Not worth the trek from the city centre. But I'm told the food is good.

A truly excellent pub. Food is wonderful, the place has lots of different areas of seating to choose from, including some very comfy high-back chairs. Service is quick, and staff are friendly and polite. A nice selection of beers and a relaxed atmosphere. I now go regularly for meals and bring guests who always leave with positive things to say about the pub. I envy the other patrons there who are kicking back with a pint after work (my 19mth old won't let me sit back and relax, that's for sure!). Which reminds me, the baby changing facilities are the cleanest I have ever seen! Spotless and well stocked. Tt's just around the corner from Bank Foot Metro station, so no worries about driving home (although ample parking is provided). If you're in the area, or passing by, I'd recommend it for sure.

Always got a good range of beers on which are generally well kept. Also pub fairly well laid out in terms or lots of different areas to drink. Worth a visit

Probably the best pub food in the area - restaurant quality meals and a fantastic varied menu - cannot fault in any way. Would highly recommend

Sir John Fitzgerald House. 6 Real Ales (2 Regulars,& 4 rotating on a weekly basis). Large restaurant area which serves excellent food but perhaps a little pricey for a Pub/Restaurant. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
