It has closed after the retirement of the long time landlord. Whether it's permanent or not, no one seems to know. Was a proper down to earth timewarp of a pub until the very end.

Has just been given a lick of paint and a spruce up, it needed it. The beer is absolutely superb. Which other seafront pub in England could you get 4 pints of bitter and change from�6?

Excellent pint of Dark Mild, stopeed in for 3 more and only spent a few pence over a Fiver.

Superb Sam Smiths beer, only �1.42 for bitter but pub a bit scruffy frequented by shady characters.

Great "local" pub right on the seafront. Superb pintof Sam Smiths Sovereign, 3 pints and change from �4. No infuriating televisions.

Looks small outside but big inside.
Clean with freindly landlord,usual Smiths reasonable prices (ie cider at �1.80) comfortable seating
