Modern estate pub, a bit chavvy, typical passable but uninspired Greene King beers. Adequate.

Had a meal here last week , was very impressed with the quality and price. Would certainly recommend it to friends and family. The pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere and you are made to feel very welcome, even the regular customers are friendly and took time to chat with you. We noticed on poster it has live entertainment every Saturday will be popping back on weekend to try that out

bring back Lindsay!!!!!...................she knew how the place needed to be run, she had no fighting or any problems....after she threw them out!!!
Bring her back and get the pub back to where it should be!

Excellent food and friendly staff. Used to visit this place when I was a student at the local Uni. Good atmosphere.

I may be biased but this pub is great!! The staff here are really friendly and helpful. It's a fun pub what with all the theme nights, activities and cheap drinks we do. The customers know they can come here and have a good laugh. With regards to fighting, we haven't had any trouble for well over a year now and the local police can back that up. If people have come here and had bad experiences for example, women taking drinks off their wives, maybe they should have had the sense to inform the staff and manager that this was going on so that something could be done... sounds like someone's got a bit of a grudge... Anyway, if you're up for great food, great drinks, great service and in general, a great time, get yourself to the Bee.

Love it, love it, love it! The drinks and barstaff are great and most of the other customers are friendly too. The pub is also in a brilliant position, right at the centre of Flitwick. Why can't we have at least one decent pub like this where I live?

I found this pub on the pure off chance when the trains were running late. WHAT A PUB! I can honestly say nothing could prepare me for the genuine welcome.

Have been here quite often over the years, and I've never had a bad pint or a bad time. The pub's a good size and everyone seems friendly. Recommended.

A fantastic pub, run with imagination, care and attention. The landlady is both friendly and professional, the jukebox is the best around, the beer top notch, and the food is value for money. If there's a better pub anywhere nearby, I'd love to know.

Just had one of the best weekends.
Whilst visiting some freinds in Flitwick they took me to the Bumble Bee for drink, had a fantastic evening, I would recommend this pub to anyone.
Thanks to everyone at the pub

A lively pub and very freindly, I have been drinking in the Bee for some time now and always find the service good and the pub clean.
Re-post dated 31 May 2006: Check your facts before posting, the landlady you were refering to regarding the assult charges left ages ago, the current land lady was not involved. As for your comment about go to the Swan, Yep well I tried that, my god what a boring place, the most life in that pub was coming out the fruit machine, Ive attended better funerals. The Landlord was a grumpy old sod and the landlady wasn't any better, the staff were more intrested in chatting to each other behind the bar than serving drinks and the customers were all dead in the seats and looked like they were waiting for the dribble bus. Sorry mate but if your one of them, no wonder you didn't like the Bumble Bee.
Give me a pub with people who want to enjoy a good night anyday.
Mr makinpost - you mention the pub attract Chavs and trouble makers perhaps due to the flag for the world cup. At least this pub went out of it's way to do something for the world cup. As for the the last 2 times you visited you say there were fights, you obviusly don't go very often as I drink in there on a regular basis, including every Friday and Saturday and I can't remember the last time there was a fight, I agree, one time there was fighting in the pub on a regular basis but that was along time ago and under a different Landlady, the new Landlady has put in alot of hard work and effort to change the pub and make it in to a freindly enjoyable place, most of the people who caused fight were kicked out and now go to the Swan and dribble in their pints.
Seeing as you 2 clearly haven't been for a long time why not go back and see how much the pub has changed. If you still don't like it, go back to the Swan with the dribblers or try the Wheatsheaf you can join the knitting classes down there.

This is a good pub for watching sports and has a late licence at weekends but unfortunately it seems to attract mostly chavs and troublemakers (maybe by the massive St. Georges Cross that was draped over its roof during the World Cup?). I'm not just generalising, the last 2 times I have been in there fights have broken out.
Standard beers (Fosters etc) and sticky tables/chairs everywhere.
Try the Swan (lounge side) or the Blackbirds instead.

Further to the entry of 31 May, the current landlady was NOT involved in the incident of assault mentioned, but this was a previous incumbent. Since Nikki took over, the pub has been cleaned up considerably, and I find that it is a good place to visit. Comments signed "Anonymous" are probably not worth it anyway.

Don't bother!!!
