This is a sport orientated pub were I found a very friendly barmaid and an amiable group of locals.
Around to the right of the front bar area the pub opens up into a larger area housing three pool tables and a dartboard. There is a DJ booth and once a few tables and chairs are moved a dance floor opens up. There was no dancing going on during the week night I visited, but there was an organised poker night that had attracted a good attendance.
Out the back door there are some picnic tables on a paved area which leads to a thin grassed area the runs alongside a large car park.
There is only a standard draught selection so this is certainly not a pub for an ale connoisseur, but it is fine for watching the match on Sky or for some pub games.

helps to be stoned before you walk through the door

Reasonable sized venue with lots of pool tables and an area to dance (which is a useful bonus when you've had a bit to drink). The decor is pretty grotty though and it sometimes takes a long time to get served.

Green Man's a great local! Good atmosphere, friendly bar staff, friendly bouncers and so many fit ladies you lose count (after too many stella's)

the green man is the best pub in town because of the purple pool table. it is well worth queing outside for half an hour for. also the pork scratchings are tasty. the landlord is amusing. and bouncers are many. however one critism is that u have to sit outside in the dark and you often find yourself sitting on the wrong table from your friends due to this fact.
