I've eaten here many times over the last 10 years, both in the restaurant and the Pub. The food is always of a good standard and although it is not the cheapest place in Town it is in my opinion well worth paying that little bit extra for.
There is a good selection of larger, beer and wine and they have several Guest ales on at a time. The atmosphere is "Traditional" as its a very old building.
The Staff are all very friendly and service is normally prompt from the kitchen.
The management have started to close one of the car parks in the summer months and turn it into a large "Beer terrace" which does attract a lot of people.
The customers are varied from all ages and walks of life, and there seems to be music on Saturday evenings quite often.
In my opinion this is the best pub in PB to take the Wife and Kids to for a Pub lunch. 7/10.

Called in for a drink and a meal a couple of evenings ago. Have to say some of the comments puzzle me. there was a very mixed crowd in the pub. A good selection of beers and the food, whilst a little above average pub-grub prices - was very nice. Service was very good too. If this was my local I'd be very happy.

Food-oriented pub with a large barn-like bar and separate restaurant area. Located on a retail park, it seems to cater for a middle-aged crowd, including families. Beers on were Theakston Old Peculier, Woodfordes Nelson's Revenge, Caledonian Deuchars IPA, Courage Directors & Fullers London Pride. Ok, but nothing special.

very nice pub restaurant located less than 5 minutes walk from the train station, four cask ales feat London pride wells bombardier wells courage best and deuchars ipa, would have been nice to visit on a sunny summer day mind as the large beer patio was most welcoming 8/10

Lovely venue but menu has been revamped since last visit and not for the better. Good service

A good timeless classic of a pub. A beautiful building that is comfortbaly decorated and furnished, with a well-behaved clientele, polite and attentive bar staff and waiting staff and delicious food. I must confess that on both of my visits here it has been for a meal, but fortunately on both occasions I have had a chance to have a couple of drinks before hand and the selection of drinks isn't bad at all (although perhaps at least one more real ale would be a good idea) and they are all of a good standard, but slightly overpriced although not enough to deter me for one as sometimes it's worth paying the little extra for the benefit of consuming your beer in a decent environment. A very good effort in the final analysis, if forced to pick a fault apart from the aforementioned slightly over-the-top pricing, it would be that for some tastes the place is a little bit staid. Not a lot by way of entertainment for those craving a big night out, however for those wishing for a nice quiet few jars and a chat with your comapanion(s) whilst the unwind from the stresses of the modern world, this is a very good place to head for. I would also heartily recommend it for a place to go for a nice meal.

Always busy, which says a lot for how they run it. Been going regularly since I discovered it last year. Good selection on the menu of reasonably priced simple traditional food served in what I think they call hearty portions... The pub part gets lively over the weekend but the restaurant part is old and calm, even when full. Never had a bad meal or bad service. Now I've said that I bet it's rubbish next time I visit!

This is a lovely looking large pub that is set back from the road by its car park and some seating by the side of the car park. There is also some more covered outside seating at the side of the pub.
This is a very food orientated pub with the larger room to the left of the bar being used as a restaurant and the other people in the atual bar area during my visit were all eating. It seemed to be popular with all generations of family and I think it is the sort of place you would take granny for a meal on her birthday.
Spitfire, Directors and Ordinary were all available alongside a standard draught selection and Amstel.
The barmaid that served me was very polite, but I dont think that I would go here again just for a drink.

Spacious pub looking old on the outside but tastefully modernised on inside. Three real ales to choose from along with the usual lagers. Was a George Michael lookalike in there when i was there who seemed intent on getting drunk on red wine and touching girls bottoms, very funny.

Sadly owned by a large company but on the plus side really good pub food and a brilliant restaurant. Not entirely sure how much of the food in it is prepped there or brought in but the sunday roast is very good and the other meals are good fare at reasonable prices. Only three real ales, Directors, Youngs and something else. Certainly recommended for the restaurant, good value for money.

Very nice - looks kind of posh on the outside, but it's nicely cosy and traditional on the inside. A small selection of real ales are on offer, and although fairly unadventurous, they were pretty well kept.

The only decent pub in PB. Traditional surroundings, warm welcome, very well managed, good food, inoffensive background music. Could do with more real ales, but quality generally very good. Give it go!

This pub is a cosy place to go and you are made very welcome. The food is also out of this world and can not be beaten!

Previous The Wylliotts, this would be my pick of the pubs in Potters Bar, mainly because the shazzas steer clear. Nice and cosy. Somewhere to go for a quiet chat.
