Well done the sondesarms!
Good food and a fine selection of ales!
Well impressed ;)

The pub has changed into a very nice beverage and food venue. The food is available now every day and has special deals for pensioners too. On a weekend there is a carvery with three choices of meats and endless veg options. The carvery finishes at 3 and the around the world starts, every Sunday a different country menu is done and it is as much as you can eat for only £9.
The first week was Chinese and last Sunday was Mexican. This week is Indian and again it's as much as you can eat.
The we day meals are exceptional value and of course children and animals are welcome, if you fancy a change and don't want to spend the earth for quality foods you should give it a try. We are the new owners and are looking for your support as we can not do this alone.

A bizarre place and very bright for a pub, completely empty when we visited on a Monday afternoon, the landlord was sitting by the fire as we walked in and seemed a strange character. A nice pint of Southwold Bitter but no cider on tap. Reading the reviews below, I can only assume that it has recently re-opened

Now closed - good riddance...

Yes, I agree. It's rubbish and best avoided...

A tatty Shepherd Neame pub that didn't have any of their beer - in fact no bitter at all. Had a pint of Holsten while waiting for the train (It's handy for the station).
