Plans for redeveloping this site include flats but also a pub on the ground floor. May even be better than the one it replaces - wouldn't be hard.
Passed this old pub today.
Well closed.
Boarded up. Wall round the site [of wood, perhaps!]
Pity the car park is not availble to patrons of local shops. But there we go - "Joined up Government" at its finest.
Come on!

This pub has now closed
Closing in July 07, no doubt to be replaced by a development of flats. It's a pity as even though it's not been the greatest of pubs, it is a tolworth landmark and one of the very few places to drink.
A pleasant enough pub just up the road from Tolworth Broadway. Comfortable but with poor range of real ales. For me it lacked atmosphere and was distinctly average.
went last friday - barman tried to charge me over a fiver for ipa and mini cheddars and two teens doing 'stuff' in the loos - nice family pub then
Big predominantly Harvesters pub but you can also treat it like a pub, pub meals, beer including GK IPA. Ignore the screaming kids and look at the rain falling like in the old song.
its a harvester not the red lion which i fondly remember. needs atttention, ie beer garden could do with childrens facilities and the beer is watered down
Went in for a meal and was very surprised at how much it has changed since my last visit ( over 6 years ago) for the better! The staff were very friendly and the food was great! Only down side was the selection of desserts has shrunk a little :(
Harvest pubs vary from good to awful(never been in a great one) - The Red Lion is a good one. Food was fine - staff friendly. Tables needed a wipe though and the menu's were very sticky (ick).

Looks like this is another pub to go the way of the Rising Sun...large car park means space for luxury flats...

It is a good place to come and relax for a drink (or two) and then have a reasonable priced meal that tastes good!

was the trolly bus turn around. It was our famil lub where I grew up. M famil had a bakery at the corner of ewell rd and princes ave.
Could be a nice pub, shame Harvester have their grubby mits on it...beer is over priced, food is a lottery from one month to the next and they have not bothered to keep up even basic maintenance like broken fences...

What more can you want, this and the legion in such a close proximity. Food superb, plenty of it for a big growing fella, foods hot, and the beers wet, what more can you want!!

I have been drinking at this pub on and off for 30 years, it's warm, friendly and the food is good.

It's a Harvester. What more need we say.
