Open again. Now called The Four Horsemen.Real ales and live music most nights.
It's closed - what a shame as it was very good once-upon-a-time and must have so much real ale potential in a town of few decent outlets.
Not got a lot to say positive about this place. Perhaps the landlord only likes locals?
Wouldn't go there again!
Nice friendly pub, (except for the one drunk) good drag artiste, will visit again when in the area

A friendly gay pub. One well kept cask ale which is a rarity in a gay pub. Worth a visit.

This pub now has a new landlord, not sure if the bar staff are the same as before.Could be worth a visit as good Ringwoods beer. Which is rare in the Triangle area of town.
This has to be one of the rudest landlords ive ever come across ! Not a bad pint awful food !
My wife and I popped in during Bank Holiday lunchtime. Great value food, and the Lasagne tasted homemade. Top quality pint of Ringwoods. Barman (Landlord?) was very friendly. Will go again when we are next in Bournemouth. This is a real pub, but I agree that it could do with some redecoration.

Been a few times, always excellent real ale. The pub quiz can be long and boring.....
great little pub, staff v friendly, landlord opinionated! not a bad thing. sunday lunch excellent.
A lovely warm and friendly pub, an ideal starting place for a night out in Bournemouths Triangle area, well known for its gay night life
Sure, it's a gay bar, but just a load of old queens, nothing in your face. Not bad if you just want a quiet pint.
Bournemouth amater boxing club, used to be above this pub, when known as the Pembroke Arms. Tiring slog up the hill to get to it.
goood
Its a gay pub alright - didn't take long to work that one out, especially when one of our crew had ran to join us and came in sweating and panting, he raised more than just eyebrows. I was pleasantly surprised to see Pedigree on tap, but sadly it hadn't travelled very well.

There are very few real pubs in Bournemouth, although the town centre contains large numbers of bars. The Bakers Arms looks like a pub, as indeed it is, although it seems to cater mainly for keg or lager drinkers. It is said to be a gay pub, although I did not know this when I went in.
BADLY in need of refurbishment. Landlord friendly
A curious pub - Only noticed after going in that it was a gay pub. Is quite grotty, but not necessarily a bad thing - It had all the components of an old mans pub ie. Dishellved punters, lots of smoke, jukebox. Which I like very much,
So on my one visit, it seemed OK.

Hmmm. A little suspicious that three of the "it's great" postings below are at the same time and date... ? Methinks an employee is trying to unfairly big it up and give drinkers the WRONG impression!
Brilliant atmosphere. Carry on !!

Terrible place, went in for drink recently and the conversation went dead. Never felt so unwelcome in a pub
