No longer open to the public but instead just serves customers staying at the adjacent Premier Inn. No great loss.

Was persuaded to go here for a family meal. Food was corporate formula stuff and rather expensive for what it was. Beer was very expensive - £3:79 a pint. Pepsi - £2:25 for a half pint. This is a restaurant NOT a pub.
Reopened. Adverts extolling the virtues of Beefeater 'meal deals' abound. Not tempted to go in.
Closed for refurbishment. Not bothered if it never re-opens.

My first visit to this pub for many years. More of a restaurant than a pub these days. I think it is a Beefeater. Very few customers late afternoon/early evening and all of them were eating. One ale available - Cumberland which was passable. Bought a bottle of Kopparberg cider for a friend and nearly fell over when charged 3:95. Think it will be many more years before I venture in here again.

Went there for a meal last Sunday, service was extremely slow and was about to walk out when we were seated. Service for two pots of tea again woefully slow and the tea when it arrived was cold. Ordered two chicken roast dinners, the chicken when it arrived was tasty but dry, the veg was similar to that served in school dinners in the sixties, overcooked and tasteless.
The waiter to his credit tried to recover the situation with his pleasant manner but the food and tea for 18.99 was rubbish. Typically English we just took it on the chin with no complaints we just wont eat there ever again..
I have rated this as a 3 for the service from the waiter otherwise it would have been 0.

not too bad. does what i says on the tin really..........if you want a cheap dinner with family or friends then great. if you want live sports, pool, entertainment or just a few (decent) pints then try elsewhere. the food offering is very good value for money though.

Although an old building it has a corporate interior. Not a drinkers pub. Most customers go there for a meal. Don't go out of your way to visit this place.
The outside has been painted shite-brown,rather appropriately...
Could be a decent pub if there wasn't a Mailey there.
Barely adequate. Identikit interior. Adjunct to the travel inn next door, which just about sums it up. Always expect to see Alan Partridge drinking there.
Mailey works there. Could be better but not bad.
