Ok pub, no garden just a few chairs on the small area at the front, Wadworths beers are good but a bit on the dear side, Henrys IPA was 2.00 for a while.
|
Wadworths pub, yesterday they had 6X, Henrys IPA and Horizon. Seemed to be one large bar which opened out onto the street.
OK for a quick pint.

Called in on a Sunday, discovered it was open mic night, interesting and well run. Will return.
|
High prices and location cause it to be sometimes completely empty saturday lunchtime, otherwise okay.

It was briefly, for a couple of years the finest pub in Cheltenham. John Freeman made it something really special, and it was superb. Now he has left, and the new managers have done a wonderful job of refurbishment, so while I regret its passing it is still well worth a visit. The old heavy metal and goth crowd have gone, and its now a very attractive and placid watering hole with reasonable prices and nice decor, and friendly staff. I miss the old Cotswolds, but the new one is certainly more attractive to the average punter.

Now that the landord is moving on, I hope they keep the rock bar downstairs open.

I seemed to have spent most of the first weekend of the new drinking laws in England & Wales in this pub.
Now open till 12 at night. Still an excellent pub. Good beer, good food, good music, good barstaff, good fun!

I was in The Cotswold the other week. The landlord is a great bloke. His staff are great too!

Absolutely to pub. Folk and Blues upstairs, great thursday night quiz, fantastic food, and roleplaying games and metal music in basement bar. What more could you want? The local pagans and psychic research group meet here, as do the Roleplaying Society and soem Christian groups. All in all, fantastic lively place run by brilliant people, with totally bizarre mix f punters...

The Costwold is a great pub. Whenever I get chance to visit Cheltenham, I always visit this pub. The people who run The Cotswold and work there are very nice people. And I love to hang out in the cellar bar in the evening if it's open. I love the atmosphere and people of this pub. :)

Nice pub...If you don't like Death/Heavy metal its not the place for you.
